Our club is organised so that all members can fully enjoy the sport, so we very rarely compete at county level, however the excellent coaching available on a one-to-one basis, can help all fencers to achieve competition standard, indeed many of our fencers have gone on to fence at GB level. We also organise a Junior foil club competition every year with a trophy and medals awarded

To one of our junior fencers David Carr (on right of picture) who won Gold in the Youth C Boys National Championship at the British Modern Pentathlon Championships 2010 in Solihull, Birmingham. David won the title by 448 points and also came first in his fencing discipline.
In August 2011 David was regrettably pipped at the post and had to settle for the Silver Medal 

Congratulations also to Richard Carr (picture to follow) who won the gold medal for foil in our 2011 competition for all junior MAD members.
